Had enough!
Well Ive finally had enough. Every conversation on this site of late disintegrates into nonsense, every talk about policy turns to talk of conspiracy and more and more of late I have found myself drawn into the nonsense out of frustration with the idiot who perpetrates it, more than anything else.
We cannot continue like this but I cannot see it going any other way, this site will die a slow death because the one major agent of change is AWOL and the citizens are left arguing over the carcass they left behind and most have lost all sense of reality or the bigger picture as a result.(Think the film "the hole")
This is not meant as a condemnation of the potential of the site, it is still there but it is a condemnation of its direction, we have got to a point where I cannot suggest some basic changes to real estate without it being painted as an effort to form a monopoly of the infinite and worthless real estate, it leads me to wonder what kind of person I am dealing with sometimes when I engage certain people. Theres actually no point getting involved anymore, it would be more fun to build a treehouse or go fishing, even drinking myself into a stupor and singing "Moon River" in the bath would be more worthwhile at our current impasse.
Anyway we are here and here we will stay unless there are major changes to the site. As it stands the executive is a useless function(ask any president), the Tollar is worthless as is real estate, the economic system avoids basic principles and more or less everything bar the court is functionless.
To a certain extent it is a fascinating study of human nature this site, we set ourselves up in a system we are comfortable with and create "conspiracies" of monsters under the bed to protect ourselves from having to think. This site could and I still hope will be great but for now we are in a funk. Sometime and soon the people and Admin will need to sit down and decide a programme for the site over the next year or else the shenanigans of the few will eventually drag everyone into the cesspool even the most reasonable of us like Codex, Greg and Alex.
Anyway I will not emigrate entirely as I hold a certain amount of loyalty to the site and to some of its people who have been genuinely interesting, engaging, intelligent and who I have learned a massive amount off in a lot of areas and for these reasons I will continue to discharge all duties required of me from the Court and will vote when I feel it is necessary but apart from that I have retired for all intents and purposed from Titulian life. I dont feel there is any use in me trying to effect any change in terms of the site but I hope someone will succeed where I and others have failed, we will not get many more chances. Hopefully well see some change soon that makes the effort people put in here more worthwhile again in the future until then enjoy, this site is a great opportunity to be part of something potentially really special and is fun in a lot of ways so please continue to work toward its future.

Well im sick of looking at money in my bank account so ive decided to invest it somewhere or give it as a loan. If anyone has any ideas for companies or entities and needs funding or if anyone has a proposition for investment into a entity for me then im all ears. Theres 1,000T sitting here for any interested parties!

Since I have been banned from "Free Speech" Toms blog ill point out his mistake here.
Now for the science bit:
When I was President myself and at the time secretary Bill Money set about welcoming each and every new active citizen to the republic this was a tedious task and during this I spotted the exact pattern Tom did in his post let me assure everyone there is no mass fraud, Tom has merely pointed out one of the main points of any website, people who sign up and only look around and then leave.
The current activity states we have 100 + citizens active every week about 50 of these are people who take part the other 50 who are new accounts they sign up dont want to take part and never sign in again. A small proportion of these stay and become citizens, maybe one a week the other 50 leave their accounts and never sign in again.
Dont believe me? You can check it yourself. Heres how courtesy of Admin:
Step 1- Go to the list of citizens entity.
Step 2- Press the date of immigration button in the top right it will show you the immigrations from thew sites first day in order, then press it once more and it will show you a list of most recent immigrations.
Step 3- Press Next and follow the pitter patter of immigrations along since around mid February. You will find the pattern Tom is implying is fraud has been taken place since then. People sign in with weird names then never sign in again there are hundreds maybe over 1,00o of them going all the way back.
These are people who sign in and dont like the site then leave. If you follow Toms logic that these accounts are clones then there are over 1,000 clones on this website ready to take your vote. The fact is they are nothing but people who sign in and never take part my guess judging by some of the names ive found among them is the fact that the site is called TITulia leads some to believe they are going to find something here not completely in line with what they actually find but thats just the guess of a single man in his twenties so I could be way off.
Anyway there have been scores of these accounts every week since February and they make up maybe 70% of the accounts on the site. Few if any have ever become active bar maybe our new friend the regally named Mr Thomas Whipstaff III.
Now that ive explained it im hoping Tom can use his famous intellect to see that he was wrong and jumped the gun when only having half a scent of conspiracy again.
To be honest for a man who claims himself a lawyer and the smartest and richest man on the site this lack of any real reasoning or attempt at comprehending the facts is worrying.
Im sure some citizens will still pretend to see reason in Toms wild theory for political reasons even if it is obviously a poorly formed and just plain wrong so lets hear it!! Linardist conspiracy, the world hates me, help help im being repressed, Coailition = Evil etc etc etc. They are welcome to it if they so wish but it is obvious to any fair minded person that Tom either was so busy looking for conspiracy he didnt see the facts or Tom knows he was wrong and is trying to make a storm in a teacup for his own reasons.
BTW Tom if you find my proved theory at all appealing you are free to post your retraction on my blog if you like.

An open letter to Tom Norton and his friends at the LRP
I was going to write this as a post response on Lea/hs recent apology but it was longer than the original so decided to put it here.
Here is a serious no bullshit, straight question for Tom as to your comment:
" Each one of them has a financial or otherwise aligned association with the controversial East Titulia Company draining public funds away from the whole of Titulia City and lining their own Titulian pockets"
Could you please state who "they" are? and what the amounts youve claimed were?
You have as you have admitted several times taken legally or not the records of the private company so where is the proof here Tom. Surely you have proof you can publish to make such claims?
Or are you claiming that peoples earnings from public positions which were ratified by public vote and earnings from private enterprise should not be used for investment in further Titulian enterprise. If this is so could you explain this view?
For example are you saying a current government employee from post editors to secretaries should not invest their government earnings in anything you disapprove of even if it is completely legal?
I seriously dont understand what you and Leah have claimed is "controversial","treasanous" or "illegal" about people using money earned from public positions and private enterprise to invest back into the Titulian economy through this company or is the practice of reinvesting the money you have earned from office only "controversial","treasanous" or "illegal" when that money is invested by your political opponents ??
We all know you and James Matthews are friends in real life so is this whole charade and the LRPs current platform based as James has previously said on his Democratic party forum "In solidarity and the love of the game!"
Is this all part of the game? because I for one am sick of it.
Neither you or any of your friends and allies in the LRP have put up any serious proposals to the people in many months and in most cases have never done so, most of the LRP have never started a buisness or even logged in regularly.
This "game" you guys are playing is so tiresome from the attempt to hijack the RNC to this stuff about EtitCo so seriously come up with some proposals for making the site better, hell i dont even have to like them but cut this game its never going anywhere and you know it.
If you guys could participate in a positive way instead of knocking on every backdoor and even breaking in some to try to get to get some power or "win" your game maybe we could all move on and past this current tit for tat impasse.

My appointment to the court
As my appointment as an associate justice on the general court is nearing completion I would like to thank all those who voted for me. I promise to uphold Titulian law and to work closely with Chief Justice Colonel and Justice Biggs in continuing their great work upholding the laws of this state in a fair and just manner.
It is also with a heavy heart that I must resign my membership of the SDP. The SDP have been my political home for most of my political life in Titulia and if I ever do return to politics in the future it is to there I will return. I would like to thank all my colleagues there for their help, counsel support and hard work for our social democratic views during my time there.
I would also like to thank President Money for his trust in appointing me to such an important position in the state. I hope I can repay that trust.
See you all in the courthouse!

Call for a Boycott!
Dear Friends,
It is with great regret we find ourselves in a situation where Titulia is on the brink of becoming past redemption in its current form. It has become clear to me through my own time in office and since that the despite the talents and best efforts of a number of presidents and secretaries the executive branch of government has become irrelevant and lost all power due to the apathy with which the site is treated by Admin.This I believe will not be remedied by anything but some serious action. We as people who still believe in Titulias future and potential need to be the ones to take this action.
To this end I have decided and am asking all of you to join me in boycotting the upcoming election in the hope that it will send a message to admin that they need to sit down and outline their longterm plan for the site with the people. We are at a stage now that if we could break out a six month to a year site development plan with admin I would be willing to forgoe all change requests during that period if we had a view of where the site was to be and Admin would sit down with us and outline their serious vision for the long term rather than making several piecemeal attempts to pass off any responsibility to the sites patrons which is what we have become.
The bottom line is we need Admin to come straight out and give us a serious view to the future of the site only then can we drop the constant requests and focus elsewhere to creating Titulian made law and to developing Titulia socially.
Today I will put up a proposition asking admin to themselves agree to opening a constitutional convention in the forums so we can develop a final constitution in conjunction with them. It will also ask that admin outline clearly their plans for the next six months to a year with the agreement we will not make any other major change requests if they do.
Until then I will be boycotting the upcoming the election as without these changes and serious plan for the future layed out by admin there is no point in the people electing an executive to be ignored. I hope you all will join me in this move it is time we made a serious move to cure these ills.

The States end!
There has been what I would think is some premature commentary on the death of Titulia in recent days. Those of us who read this are either strangely dedicated to this sites promise or just plain political junkies, there is a massive potential here but it remains unlocked in the main due to matters outside any citizen or group of citizens control. I would urge everyone though to continue despite this for as long as your sanity allows because it is a unique opportunity albeit a one yet to be full realised.
In times like these it is important to keep Titulia in perspective it is a website much like any other but with a community which is amazingly unique on the internet compared to any other politics or blogging site that is the selling point. Our struggles on many fronts from finding a sense of order in Titulia and immigration to creating an economy may be incredibly frustrating at times but it is important to remember when frustrated by these issues that Titulia in essence brings together a community of people from around the world and allows them to discuss and learn about different political, ethical and social viewpoints through the totally unique lense of the online state, it is looking at Titulia from this viewpont that things really dont seem to bad after all.
So fellow Titulians keep with it and keep adding to out online society even in the face of apathy, stupidity or even sometimes hostility. To pararphrase Disreali "circumstances are beyond our control, but our conduct is in our own power" I would doubt any of our presidents will be on CNN soon as Admins mission statement suggests but we are new, young as a concept and have a hell of a lot going for us in terms of learning something here even if we dont fully succeed in fulfilling out promise.

Department of Economy mission statement for upcoming term.
Citizens,
It is well recognised that we have an economy in its very early stages in Titulia and it will take some changes to get it up and running in a meaningful way. When considering policy and issues involved in the running of Titulias economy we must always be mindful of the online mature of this state and the problems and opportunities that this brings.
The main reason for economic activity is necessity, every person needs an incentive to buy and sell goods from the very basic survival ie food to the more discretionary luxuries. There is a clear lack of incentive to buy or sell in Titulia because of the basic fact we do not need tollars to avail of even our most basic needs of citizens. Therefore it is imperitave that in setting up our economy we try to make sure we have some incentive attached to policy, for the most part this incentive will be to try promote basic services which arouse our curiosity and offer us a chance to broaden our understanding of real life issues through the site.
There are two initial schemes the Dept of the economy will be promoting this term. These will be:
1) National skills scheme:
Training grants of money for those who will give and take up training in any area - 1500 tollars.
10 grants of 100 tollars each for citizens completing satisfactorally a training scheme
People who give training schemes will get 50 tollars per person who takes up that training course to the value of 500 tollars overall.

These courses can be given as either correspondence using private mail courses or as live courses but must be approved by the Economy Dept before they are taken under the scheme.
Given the previous national skills scheme ran into problems due to lack of participation due to scheduling confilicts I would be encouraging schemes to be ran on a correspondance basis.

Company startup scheme:
3 grants of 500T for the setup of any company or organisation which has the expressed intent of searching out opportunities for, promoting, advising or assisting new Titulian companies in their startup.
Both these schemes I will go into more detail on in the coming days and I would encourage any interested participants to contact me.

The tollar is not tied to the dollar. Although the Bank of Titulia has a tollar sell rate, that does not prevent anyone from selling or buying tollars at any rate. Therefore, this change request is found meaningless.
Status: Rejected
Presidents Response: Given that the Tollar is of course linked to the Dollar and this is clear for all to see as the Bank of Titulia sells Tollars for dollars and at dollar rates one can only assume Admin do not have the capacity to fully understand how they set up their own website or that they are playing dumb to avoid giving a real answer. I explained to admin that this was a request to stop selling Tollars for Dollars and they have now acted dumb on it which is truly disillusioning and a massive let down if the president cannot trust the Admin of the site. It is my belief the reason Admin has rejected this is the same reason they have failed to move on any economic plan in this state, that reason being that the economy is set up in such a way as to sell Tollars for Dollars for their benifit short term. What admin has failed to realise is that the money they make from selling Tollars is nothing compared to the damage that practice does to this sites economy and thus its attractiveness to new immigrants. There is much more money admin could be making from ad revenue which can only be got by listening to the people and improving the site to appeal to the people but this rejection of the peoples will is symptomatic of the reasons this site does not appeal to the much wider audience that there is no doubt available to it.
To sum up this is a massive source of frustration for me personally as a citizen.
